Tippy is the sister/girlfriend of Zip aka Zippy the Monkey, who was featured on the Howdy Doody Show in the 1950s. This Tippy doll is notable for having both her original paper tag, which says “Someone You Love Needs Something to Hug” on the front, and a small hang tag coming off her left arm that says “The Rushton Company.”
Tippy is dressed in a red and white gingham dress with... white shoes that say “Copyright The Rushton Co” on the bottom. Her name is written in white on the dress, and she also has a red bow in her hair. Her fur is still yellowish-white and fluffy. One shoe is slightly scuffed, and unfortunately, the squeaker in her left arm has dried out. However, for a 40-year-old monkey, she is still in fantastic shape!! These monkeys are hard to find with all their tags.
Bid today to add her to a collection, start a new one, or to just bring back memories if you had this doll as a child! Any further questions are welcomed.
