This is a beautiful example of quite a rare beast. It's an early 19th Century fixed box desktop micrometer. Patented in 1923. It still operates very smoothly and has been protected in it's wooden original box. Box is labeled 'PRODUCTION LABORATORY' as well as marked with Brown & Sharpe.
