An early and scarce anti prohibition cause tin license plate topper sign. This one reads: Repeal 18th Amendment W.O.N.P.R Women's Organization For National Prohibition Reform. This early and all original embossed tin litho license plate topper measures 12-1/2" x 4-3/4". Condition as shown very good with some light scattered surface wear and displays well. Does have some tin loss to the bottom right corner that does not detract much from overall appearance. This would have mounted to a ...car license plate or license plate holder as a show of support for the anti prohibition movement. This original cause piece dates from 1929-33 era when the WONPR was active. At it's height the women's organization led by Pauline Sabin had 600, 000 active members.
