Vintage Pompeian Bronze Co. Owl Bookends. Each Bookend weighs approximately 2 pounds 11 ounces. Condition: PLEASE NOTE: In the photos attached to this listing you will see a pointer that points out several flaws with these bookends. For instance just above the feet of the owls you will notice an area of whiteness where there is cracking and chipping to the material. I am not an expert on bronze so I am unsure if this normal d...eterioration or if it at one point was broke just above the feet and then reattached. I don't think it was broke because they both have that same area where there is the same problem so it is unlikely both were broke in the same exact area but it is only my opinion. Also pointed out is that the red book in which the owls are perched upon. Some of the red paint is lifting up and beginning to chip away.
