WW2 RAF Night Fighter Dark Adaptation Goggles - Red Lenses.In good condition. Leather is a bit fuzzy but seems good. One fold crease below right lens, and lens has very small chip but otherwise solid (1/8 x 1/16 inch). Both crease and chip on right lens to wearer. Overall leather color appears a little darker in person that on photos. These goggles were designed to be worn by night fighter pilots 30 minutes before take off. Their dark red lenses would help the pilot's eyes to adjust to... the darkness, giving him improved night vision from the very beginning of the flight. An interesting piece of history.
