This Stevens “s.n.20.1” cap gun was made in 1880 with a three star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 180 (s.n.20.1). This cap gun is 4 1/4 inches in length. It is a double barrel, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. It has a flower and decorative scroll work on both sides of the handle. This gun is in excellent condition. Please refer to the pictures. This is a toy ...cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile. "This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug."
