This "Fanner 50" cap pistol with "crossdraw" holster by Mattel, Inc. was mine as a boy. It was packed away with all my other toys in my parents’ attic for more than 50 years until I sold the family home in 2014. I received it as a Christmas present in the late 1950s. The pistol is in good condition, except for some discoloration on the cylinder. The firing mechanism works well. The top grain cowhide holster is stained but is supple and crack-free. Included are the six "copper clad" p...lay bullets. The pistol comes in its original box, which is slightly stained and has the imprint of a small belt buckle on the top. These issues do not affect the overall attractiveness of the box--colors are bright. One corner is split, but it can be easily repaired. I recently opened it and examined the contents for the first time since the early 1960s, when it was packed away. A rare find for the cap pistol collector. Each toy gun offered by this seller contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanentlyattached orange plug.
