This auction is for an original production cel AND original pencil production sketch of Taarna from HEAVY METAL!! She's shown in combat, and the detail in both the cel and sketch are FANTASTIC (see pictures)!!!
The sketch was given a raised authentication stamp "AUTHENTIC ANIMATION ARTWORK - HEAVY METAL" in the lower right corner (does NOT detract from the sketch). Slight mark on the cel's lower right corner makes me think they were together when stamped (however, the stamp on the c...el is barely visible).
Good quality original production cels of Taarna are getting harder to find, and the knock-offs look like crap, and have zero investment value. This cel & sketch pair has been stored out of sunlight, and in a smoke-free environment - the colors are bright, and the details are sharp!! They would look amazing framed!!!
