About the comic:Please check out the scans. The comic is in pretty great shape, the only thing that separates its from being in amazing shape, clo...ser to mint then fine, are the little creases near the spine on front cover and near the top and near the bottom of book. While deciding how I should grade it I held it up and my feeling it, the small creases and ones near top & bottom happened when someone was holding it up. (Not me).
My history with the comicThe comic is part of my family’s Spiderman collection. Me and my brothers bought the issues from #1 -300 as they were coming out. Mostly new, but some were picked up at a used comic store in Brooklyn or at a convention I went to in the early 1970’s… for the most part I was the one who was buying the issues. Separately from my own collection, which was everything else I collected. But Spiderman was special which was why we all bought it together. And I loved this issue. Gil Kane’s art never was better. I always loved Ka-Zar and The Savage Land, and Gil Kane’s take on it was thrilling. Plus, Kraven the Hunter… is the big bad… not to mention Gog! Perusing the issue today for the first time in decades, reminded of why this issue rocked. And why I’ll miss it when some wonderful person decides to add it to their own collection.
