Beautiful craftsmanship on this piece! Works as a bookend - but is only one, is still great piece to have. The book/ Bible he is reading actually swivels, colors are sharp. Monk is sitting down, the rosary beads are made of nail heads, the Cross is another piece attached to the wood. Great details on monk's face. Finish of wood feels like a thin layer of lacquer.
