This is for one brand new power output stage driver transistor, for the classic, original Acoustic Research AR Amplifier model AU and Receivers model R and W. The amplifier picture is only so you will recognize the correct AR Amplifier. This is for the transistor only. This transistor was manufactured by AMP and is part number 2947. It is used in the final output stage, mounted to the rear panel heat sink assemb...ly. These were tested by AR and installed as a pair. Note that all of these transistors have a red dot indicating the matching. We are no longer accepting repairs. Initially, we have ten available. This is the end of our inventory and we have not seen these available for many years. Acknowledging the inherit risk of someone installing this in a defective amplifier, we can not accept returns, very unusual to our general policy.We strongly recommend you consider the Service Manual found in our Store Section MANUALS if you are servicing this amplifier. There are a number of tests and adjustments detailed in the manual beyond what is found in only the schematic.
