This listing is for a Pair of Jensen BL-250 Triplex Speakers ( Smaller Version of Imperial PR-100) . The BL-250 were a Base Reflex Cabinets designed by Jensen for mainly their 3 way systems such as the Tripleex which consisted of a P15LL woofer an RP-201 Mid-range driver and horn combination and an RP-302 Tweeter. The cabinets could also house a G610 and G600 Tri-Axial speakers or the H510, H520 or H530 CoAxial speakers. I have heard these speakers called the "Baby Jensen Imperials" be...cause they house the same exact components as the Jensen Imperial PR-100 only in a scaled down cabinet. The components of the Triplex 3 way system that is loaded in these cabinets consists of a P15LL woofer a RP-201 midrange driver and horn assembly a RP-302 tweeter an A-61 and A-402 crossovers and an Intrarange Equalizer plus two balance controls. This pair of Jensen BL-250's come in the more rare Korina Blonde wood finish and are in pretty nice shape considering that they are 60+ years old. These speakers were originally purchased independent of each other in different years of production. When Jensen originally started to sell the BL-250 Stereo was not yet available to the consumer market. So many times the BL-250 is found in single as part of a mono system. Both of these were part of two different mono systems. That is also the reason for the difference in the color of the components. Sometime between 1957 and 1958 Jensen changed the color of components from grey/blue to brown/bronze. Both of the woofers have original Jensen cones and are in good shape. These speakers sound wonderful and are some of the best sounding speakers of that era. I do have more pictures upon request.Due to age the speakers are Being Sold AS IS.
