July 14. 96, 521, 6/0 reel for your consideration.I am going to describe the reel the best I can and it will be sold based only on this description. I have also provided very large photographs for you to see the condition and I can add more photos if some more views or details are needed. The reel is in good condition with some signs of age but, not t...errible, mostly in a rather nice patina and some marks and verdigris or oxidation.The reel seems to work well. It cranks well and pretty smoothly. The drag seems to also be working well on it. It cranks forward fine and if you crank it backwards it has play or goes back loosely and it stops after a bit. So, the crank might be a bit loose?There are no cracks on the wood or metal and I think the leather brake or strap is original and in good condition with an interesting criss cross type of staple or wire attaching having one end loose or not attached???The line might be the original or maybe something added on quite a long time ago.The reel has a bit of a musty smell but, not too strong. The diameter of the spool is about 4 1/4 inches and it weighs about 2 lbs. and 11.5 oz. There is a bit of buggering on the main crank screw and maybe one or two other screws. I do not accept offers to "buy it now".
