1915 CHARLIE CHAPLIN ORIGINAL SOUVENIR MOVIE TOKEN GIVEN AWAY BY NILES STUDIO Measures about 13/16" across. Made of hard white metal. Was found among a bunch of old Indian head pennies near Cincinnati. Very scarce. Only a few examples are known. The obverse has the face of Chaplin and the date of 1915. The reverse has his shoes and the word "Jitney. He made a movie in 1915 entitled "A Jitney Elopement" in which he and his girlfriend take off in a taxi cab known as a "Jitney". In fine c...ondition showing only the slightest handling wear and with a tiny amount of soiling.
