Here's a very high quality vintage Bait Cast Fishing Reel made by Edw. Vom Hofe. I believe the model is MATECOMBE 8000 and dates to 1`1940 Has the Fulton Street NY .maker's address on both sides. Made of nickel silver and hard rubber. Excellent original condition and fully functional. No excess wear or damage. Numbers stamped on the bottom are "800", "2" and "G46". Comes in its original all leather hard case that in excellent condit...ion. Has the Edw. Vom Hofe stamp on the bottom. A great set and hard to find a better example of this classic reel.
