Antique Georgian Alphabet/Number Sampler. Dated 1808. Rows of the alphabet and numbers followed by:‘PEGGY CARR. HER SAMPLER IN THE 13 YEAR OF HER AGE AND IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD. AD 1808’. Followed by more alphabet and numbers. With a border of trees, flowers and animals. Silk cross stitch on linen.Quite faded over the years with some wear in places.
