It has the rare red russet plastic stock and forestock...not the plain brown color of most Rifleman guns. It has beautiful swrils in the stock. There are no cracks and the rifle is solid with no wobble of any parts. The stock has two small places that appear to have been next to heat that caused very ...slight melting of the plastic. This does not take away from the beauty of this rifle
