Kobbe was a Stockbridge MA artist and was a friend of Lydia Field Emmet.
She studied at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Kobbe exhibited at National Association of Women Artists; Salons of America; and New York Watercolor Club....
Her illustration "Nansen and his Companion Attacked by Polar Bears" is in the collection of the Norman Rockwell Museum.
