1930s Monterey Club Chair In Finish
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:22693 | Original/Reproduction: Original |
There is loss of finish on tops of both arms and on front of chair. Chair is... still very sturdy and wood is solid. There is one small metal L-bracket at top right of back, almost hidden. I presume chair needed additional support here. There is surface rust on the iron straps and other metal parts. There is some damage on the narrow undersides of the four wood apron pieces which may be from upholstery tacks pulling out. Please check photos carefully.
Chair measures about 35" wide, and 37 1/2" front to back. Back height is 32" and arm height is 23". Heavy, at about 50 lbs.
This chair came from a hotel in Benson, Arizona, which had been boarded up for 57 years. This chair has the same history as the red club chair I sold here on ebay in March 2013. You arrange shipping but I will assist in any way with getting this chair ready. Also available for local pickup.
