vintage 1940s USMC Foot Locker -- includes the original tray insert but no key remains for the lock -- Camp Pendleton freight tag on one handle still remains -- top is marked twice 'DUVA-83' which was a USMC ticket to Guam / locker is also marked with the officer's name and 'Service Company' -- looks like a company or unit marking as well with the painted white and blue circle -- measures 20 1/2 by 34 in. by 13 1/2 in. high --
-- from a gentleman who began as a lieutenant i...n the US Marine Corps during World War Two but was heading to Japan when that country surrendered -- he was diverted to China, later returned home and was recommisioned during the Koren War where he served at the Battle of Chosen Reservoir and was retired a full Colonel --
