ITEM: Original WWII Censored Signal Corps 8x10 Photo of RARE GERMAN 105mm FLAK 28 AAA GUN protecting a synthetic rubber plant that the 2nd INFANTRY DIVISION captured. The gun has several KILL RINGS from shooting down Allied Bombers. During the attack this battery destroyed several M4 Sherman tanks with the 2nd INFANTRY DIVISION.Photo is from ...1st Lt. John J. Kinney, from Chicago, Illinois, who was in the Signal Corps in the ETO during WWII. He commanded several combat photographers who took these photos. Many of the photos are of the 2nd Infantry Division. Kinney was awarded the Bronze Star on 30 July 1945 for action during the war and later retired from the US Army as a Lt.
