Featuring Shemp and Moe Howard and Larry Fine, this Screen Gems and Columbia Pictures Corporation short film is titled Tricky Dicks (1953 and about 16 minutes) with all the usual slapstick antics and vintage humor that are now a bit outdated, if not unfunny. The boys need to find a murderer and interrogate 2 prisoners they conveniently haul out of the jail, ignoring the guy who actually shows up at the police station to turn himself in. Distractions include playing cards, a shapely pic...kpocket, and an organ grinder’s monkey. Black and white 16mm film has no vinegar syndrome but is slightly warped, which does not affect how it runs, but it rewinds loose and “out of round” on the reel. There is plenty of leader but not much left of any end credits. Film is on a 10 1/2 inch brown steel Goldberg Brothers Denver reel, and there is about 600 feet of film.
