This is a replace ment antenna base for the AN/PRC-8, 9 & 10 Korean War vintage military walky talky Radio Sets.These bases were used with the AT-272/PRC short tape antenna and AT-271/PRC Long whip sectional antenna when used with the AB-129/PR antenna spring .This antenna base can be used as a a VHF or a HF antenna base for home brew portable antenna projects as it is easy to mount on any flat surface....If a spring is required one can use the AB-129/PR Spring antenna Base listed in our ebay store
