1890/1907 J. W. Benson pocket watch solid silver in very good condition working and serviced, the solid silver case is in very good condition with no bad scratches dents or staining, it does have some wear small marks and a couple of small dents, the back has an engine turned design with a vacant disc in the middle, some of the engine turning has worn away over time, push the button down on top of the crown and the back will spring open, on the inside back cover is a 0.935 silver stamp... and 3 bears for Swiss silver, their is a dust cover over the movement witch is also in very good condition, on the dust cover is watch marker by warrant to the Queen Examined by J. W. Benson 62 to 64 Ludgate Hill London Swiss Made, open it and on the inside of it is the same silver hallmarks, the movement looks very clean it's working and i have serviced it, it's key wound and set a key will be supplied with 11 jewels a cylinder escapement with a 3/4 pate, the dial is white enamel with black roman numerals and a sub second dial at 6 o'clock, it has no hairlines or staining it just has a couple of small marks and one very small chip right in the centre of the sub dial but the dial is still in very good condition, all the hands are their and in very good condition and working well, with a key supplied you can wind and set the hands as it should, the watch will run the full length of it's wind and keeps very good time with 2/3 minutes over 24 hours, the watch is 47.6mm in diameter with out the crown and 15.4mm thick with the glass, all the hinges are in very good condition and working well, i have fitted a new Antique glass so it's in very good condition, this is a very nice working and serviced J.
