This is an exquisite antique circa 1920 ( possibly earlier ) 9 carat gold Italian shell cameo ring. The carving is beautiful and the shell shows some surface wear so this is a very old piece. The ring shank has quite a wide fitting as can be seen in the pictures and is sized at approx. UK L which is US 5 and a half.
The ring has a lovely 9 carat gold frame which has a faded 9 ct stamp for 9 carat gold. The ring has some engraving around the shank although this again is worn confirmi...ng it has some age.The ring length is 2.5 cm ( one inch ) and the total weight is 6.3 grams.
