Up for auction is a OUTSTANDING RARE VERY LARGE Ltd. Edition Luigi Fabris Girl In Swing Figurine. This masterpiece measures an impressive 12 inches tall and 11 inches wide. This is "The Swing" by Luigi Fabris. It was made in Italy and is number 51 out of a limited edition of 300. This is a very low edition size. It is hard for me to describe the OUTSTANDING beauty of this piece without seeing it in person. Even the pictures dont begin to do it justice.&nbs...p; The beautiful girl is seated in a swing held by gold fabric cord in between 2 large porcelain trees. The skirt of her gown is made COMPLETELY of cream colored porcelain lace ruffles......front, back and bottom is all lace ruffles. The bodice of her gown is peach color with porcelain lace ruffles in the middle. Her gown has 2 teeny tiny delicate applied porcelain flowers on the skirt and 2 at her neckline. She also has tiny delicate applied porcelain flowers in a ring in her hair. Her PERFECT ARTICULATED HANDS AND FINGERS are holding onto the gold cord. She has her adorable little dog in front of her as if helping to push her. The 2 large tress are magnificent!! The have beautiful applied porcelain leaves and delicate flowers all over them. Her bonnet is laying on the ground beside her. The base of this stunning piece is covered COMPLETELY with applied porcelain grass and delicate flowers. There are even several mushrooms. Only Fabris makes bases this beautiful in my opinion. The very bottom of the base is white porcelain with gold scrolling accents. It is signed on the bottom Fabris, with the Fabris mark and the ltd. edition size of 51/300. This AMAZING piece is from my mom and dad's private collection. It is in near MINT condition...the only 2 TINY imperfections I see are a tiny chip in the lace on the back side bottom..see pic 10 and a tiny chip in the lace bow on the bonnet in the grass...see pic 11. You have to study the piece to even see them. Otherwise it is perfect. The shipping is a little higher on this piece because of its size, the packing it will take and the insurance.
