This is an enormous vintage deep sea fishing reel I found in my shed. The free spool and retrieve both work but the reel is in obvious need of a serious cleaning by a qualified individual. I am not familiar with the markings on the reel but I believe it's a model 722 in 12/0 size and there is an additional mark of 12. The reel weights about 3.5# on my fishing scale. I'm a fly fisherman and I don't know if such reels are still used but it would make a magnificent display item. ...
