Offered here is a valuable and hard to find cold painted bronze sculpture of an Arab slave trader by Franz Bergman. His foundry was in Vienna, Austria. We are downsizing and selling many paintings and antiques that we collected over the past thirty years. Please see photos.Franz Bergman was an A...ustrian entrepreneur best known for his Viennese foundry which produced many cold painted bronze sculptures of erotic and orientalist figures such as the ones in this bronze. Bergman was born in 1861 in Vienna Austria and inherited a bronze foundry from his father. Bergman was not an artist himself but hired many artists to sculpt his bronzes. He signed many of his works Nam Greb to conceal his name from authorities and avoid penalties for immorality. He died in 1936.Shipping cost of $25 in the USA covers packing, shipping and insurance.
