The Middle Miocene (~14.5 million years) Australian fossil Austrocypraea contusa (Cossmann, 1903) 27.4 mm Victoria is now available. This is a species which is near-impossible to obtain intact, as it is a very fragile shell which - if not already damaged in the muddy substrate - is easily damaged upon excavation from the matrix. This is a largely intact, overall well-preserved specimen. Suitable for advanced collection.
