Carnival Glass; Covered Candy Dish or Covered Sugar Bowl (depending on whose description you read). Marked/Embossed with "IG" logo on bottom of bowl/dish and inside lid.
Color was officially called "Peacock". Depending on the lighting, it sometimes presents as purple/amethyst/amber/umber and other times blue/cobalt with deep rose pinks or copper. (It's actually quite fascinatin...g and provides hours of fun for the whole family ;-)
This is patterned after "Beaded Loop" (the name given to it by Ruth Webb Lee) by "US Glass Companies ~ The State of Oregon", Pattern #15073--made ca. 1901 to ca. 1910 (and produced even earlier by a US Glass predecessor company).
