Ultra Rare Hardy 1896? All Brass 2 3/4” Perfect W Hardy D Block Case

This 2 3/4" Brass Perfect with a superior ivory handle.
This reel has, as it sho...uld, the 1896 Check mechanism which works as good as the day it was made.
Brass ball bearings in open ball race were used in the early models before they enclosed the ball bearings. ALL ball bearings are present and turn smoothly
Dished drum with large and small perforations, which make this reel stunning.
Original Brass strapped tension screw works as it should.
The single hole slick brass foot is correct.
The embossed Shaded Hand Trademark is truly hard to come by and adds to the beauty and collectibility of this reel.
The natural verdigris present on the spool as it should be with a reel of this age.
