For Your Consideration: An antique pair of a Monk in Library Painted Spelter (white metal) Bookends By Louis V Aronson, Art Metal Works, Newark, NJ, Circa 1922. The Black Jappaned finish is is in very good condition as is the metal casting itself. The bookends measure 3 1/2" wide x 4 1/4" high x 1 7/8" deep, weigh in at 2 lbs., 4.4 oz. On the back is the makers mark LVA (C) 1922. Felt pads on the bottom are not original.
