As the pictures so, this one is polished to the point that you can see yourself in the brass front plate and the copper body. This is not mint, as it is a real piece of fire fighting history. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS BEAUTY!!!!! The original extinguisher hose is present with this antique, and I have polished the connections to a mirror finish, but because it was used to fire fires, some of the internal contents of the extinguisher made contact with the copper body and has cause some hazing. Please, please, please look at the photographs as they tell the true story of the condition of this antique.
The pictures tell the true story of this beautiful antique piece of fire fighting history. This is a RARE extinguisher as it has a beautiful copper shell body with the original brass embossed front plates. The original high gloss red and black enamel paint for the embossed plates has also been restored as well. I have restored the original paint on the cap and the front plates with high gloss black and red enamel paint. Everything on this piece just shines and tells a fantastic story of fire fighting history. This beauty was specially made as by the very famous WALTER KIDDE COMPANNY, INC., and while the Underwriter Serial Number Plate is missing, this model is dated to between 1904-1920.
Please, please, please look at all the photographs. I have shined this antique as well as possible but this was a tool to fight fires and while it has been used to fight fires, the overall condition of this antique is excellent. There are a few hardly noticeable blemishes, but this is not mint, and the copper body and brass embossed plates shine, while there is some hazing due to the internal contents making content with the metal when being used to fight fires. This is an actual piece of fire fighting history and it does have some signs of use as a true tool of fire fighting history would. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS BEAUTY!!!!
This will be a great centerpiece or conversation piece. DO NOT MISS OUT!!!!!!! The construction and model number of this beautiful antique dates this extinguisher to the early 1900's. There are a few spots that have signs of wear and metal hazing because this antique was actually used to fight fires, but overall, as the pictures show, this is in wonderful condition. You can literally see the history of this antique.
I have polished the connectors to a mirror finish as well. The extinguisher measures 24" tall with an 8 and 1/4" diameter. Any blemishes are seen in the photographs, as this was a piece of fire fighting history and not a repop piece, so please keep that in mind. Given this antique's age, the condition of this beauty is remarkable. Also, this antique has its original hose and the brass connectors have been polished. Overall, this is a truly beautiful piece.
