CIRCA: 1920's
Seldom seen circa 1920's Bradley and Hubbard brickwork metal overlay lamp on an Aladdin genie base. Original mottled green patina, Murano glass panels, mica insert socket. The only changes from its originality is an older rewiring that works well, but for reasons of safety should be inspected by a qualified electrician prior to long term or unattended use. That said, it has worked flawlessly and without issue when lit and left unattended. Very nice condition. Just a modest amount of superficial wear commensurate with age and use. A couple of the panels have lost their tips up at the finial area of the lamp, and had I not mentioned it, most likely it would have gone unnoticed. Since I believe none of the panels were ever removed, I suspect this was how the lamp was assembled from the factory. It is a heavy little bugger. Over all very nice. Panels all original to the lamp. None are cracked. The Aladdin base is very nice, with a great original finish, and no dents, dings, or cracks. The brickwork metal overlay has no missing pieces, bent, cracked or repaired overlay. It measures about 12": tall, 5 1/4" wide and the shade is 7" at the diagonal. Very few manufacturers of lamps at the turn of the 20th Century were as well made as Bradley and Hubbard lamps. This lamp will present magnificently and assuredly will be a focal point in your home or office, and garner much attention. A fantastic accent to your office desk. It will be meticulously wrapped.
