Vintage Edward vom Hofe 6/0 Model 423 "Restigouche" Salmon Reel looks great, but has one problem. The spool flange near the rear plate is warped outward from the plate. This does not allow the drag pads to touch the spool. There are no cracks or chips in the hard rubber. There is one very small scratch in the hard rubber on the rear plate next to a foot screw. The foot has been nicely tapered. The reel does spin freely and does not rub. It would be good for fishing without a drag or ma...ke a great display reel.  Anyone with a 6/0 that has cracked end plates, but a good spool, could also use this reel.
