This is a Chinese export porcelain armorial, double-walled warming plate, decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels and gilding. To the centre is a coat of arms featuring a bird of prey on a torse and the word VRAYEFOY surrounded by green and gold circles (which is the Boswell family crest, coat of arms Boswell Baronet., of Auchinleck, Ayr). Diameter 9.5 in (24 cm).
