This is an extremely hard to find original ABG belt drive generator for an old motorcycle or other application. It is likely from about the 1920's. It is fresh from an old estate where it lived in retirement for many decades! It seems to be in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a missing oil cup. The external components including the mounting bracket for a pipe frame are still o...n it. It turns over nicely with no issues but does have some slight bearing noise. It may be possible to remedy this by washing the bearings or surely by replacing them. It has the original serial tag on it and was made in Los Angeles, California. It is marked 7 volts and 4 amps at 1800 RPM. It has a flyweight governor on it so as to prevent overspeeding and it seems to work as it should. It measures about 3 1/8 inches in diameter and about 9 3/4 inches overall. It looks to fit a 1 1/4" OD tube frame but this could easily be changed. This generator would be a great way to add a headlight to your early motorcycle! If you know of a direct application please educate me! These original generators are quite difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won't be this nice. I can be reached by phone or text message at 262 573 193 1 if you'd like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story. You'll like it. Good Luck.
