This Jolly Chimp comes in a box which states Made in Taiwan on it. I can't find a makers' name on him and feel he is a cheap knockoff of the original Japanese version. I have another Jolly Chimp listed, the original Japanese one by Daishin C.K. and he is of much better quality. However this chimp comes in a box and does look like new but doesn't appear to be working. I have owned him for about 20 years and ...believe he was made in the 50's/ 60's. He has been sitting in my wardrobe for several years now in his box because my kids think he's creepy ;)
