ANTIQUE 48 BUTTON CONCERTINA POSSIBLY LACHENAL OR WHEATSTONE WITH WOODEN BOX ... Click images to enlarge Description Wonderful antique Concertina with 48 bone buttons and 5 bellows I cannot see a makers mark but it could possibly be Wheatstone or Lachenal.Foilate fretted pierced and carved rosewood ends.Leather finger straps - need replacing.Measures 6.25" across flats.
I know nothing about these musical instruments but it appears to be in good condition and plays well all keys work, bellows in good condition, some splitting on a couple of ends which could easily be repaired, one of the cut outs in fretted end has a break - please see photos for further condition.Wooden box is in need of attention - one panel and handle missing.A fine addition to any collection.
