Zunow - 5cm F/1.1 Leica M39 Screw Mount Lens RARE find!Nice, pre-owned condition.RED - S (Rare).Cosmetically: Very clean.Chrome: Nice, no pitting (little tarnish of silver between 1.1 - 1.4), on focus scale (see pic.)Focus is nice and smooth.Aperture: Click stops nice.Aperture blades: Very minimal oil on blades, this does not affect operation.Glass optics: Clean and clear (except there is ONE pin size dust).There is a spec on back inner element.Also, looking thru the l...ens on middle element there is a spot that weexaggerated with flash so you can see it clear, it looks like taperesidue (?) finger print (?) or coating mark (?), we are not quite sure.Normal viewing it is hard to see unless you angle lens at a certainlight. We used flash so you can clearly see defect, other thanthat the glass is great.We also took pictures with this lens that we posted at the end of all the photos of the lens (the last three pics).
DESCRIPTION:When tested on our Sony a7RIII the image shows a great amount of detail
even wide open at 42mp. The characteristic soft glow of the image can
be reduced at f/1.4 and completely removed by f/2, revealing a sharp
and capable image with slight vignetting and great color until
reaching f/8 where the image appears to have minimal distortion.
