Offered here for your bidding amusement is this antique German porcelain pin cushion half doll related novelty, outfitted as a flapper from the roaring 20’s! The lady wears a fashionably wavy bob with a molded red hair ornament in it. Having seen this item more than once I know that this is an original factory assembly, comprised of a china doll head sewn onto a velvet covered pin cushion body. The limbs are made from ribbons, which end in hands and feet of rings. These act as pin ke...eps for safety pins. The head itself is likely marked with Germany, but the fragile ruffled ribbon collar prevents a look. Also note that the ribbon limbs are fraying. The flat bottom that allows the doll to ‘sit’ is stamped with Germany, as photographed.
