Up for auction is a Nakamichi Deck 1.5, 3 head stereo cassette deck. The deck is fully serviced and the following repairs have been done:- Cleaned the heads and the pinch rollers.- Lubricated the transport mechanism.- De-carbonized the reel motor . - Changed the capstan and the back tension belts.- Replaced the capstan motor using the BFA 2L36 motor, adjusted the speed and measured the W&F, the value is 0, 03%.- Checked the playback and record heads for correct azimuth, ...no need for adjustment.- Upgraded the polarized electrolytic caps of 1uF, 10uF and 47uF in the audio path using Nichicon Muse non polar caps. - Changed the no name electrolytic caps in the power supply and logic sections using United (Nippon) chemicon caps.- Changed the standard Nichicon electrolytic caps on the playback pcb board using Nichicon Muse non polar and Nichicon gold line audio caps..- Adjusted all the electronics for correct levels and bias using Maxell UR, Maxwell XLii, SONY metal XR tapes.All the functions are operating as they should be, playback, record, ff, rew, pause, meter, dolby b & c, fine bias potentiometer. The sound is crystal clear with a wide stereo image. Externally the deck is in near mint condition, concerning the age. The faceplate is clean as the top cover as well. This is a 120V model, S/N 16014, production date 1990. With the deck are included the old capacitors, the old capstan motor. All the questions are very welcome.I moved recently in US from Greece, where I was working in Greek Nakamichi service during 90's and I have all the professional equipment (original test tapes, oscilloscope, wow & flutter meter, distortion meter, frequency response meter).
