Magnificent 19thc Black Forest oak carved pediment with large fox head. Dating c.1870's.Excellent attention to detail on this fine Black Forest oak pediment. Carved to the centre is a large black bear head. Beautifully carved head with the bear having original glass eyes. Mouth carved open showing teeth. Above the head are two carved oak leaves. A fine and quality carved pediment. There are six hooks along the pediment which can easily be un...screwed if desired.The pediment measures some 8.5" height x 23.25" length. Bear head has height of some 6.5". Across the ears the bear's head measures some 4".Condition is excellent and age commensurate. All as per images. A really superb collectable 19thc Black Forest oak carved pediment with large carved bear's head to the centre..
