Teddy - I put new batteries in him and he plays fine Sound is loud and ONLY the mouth moves
Grubby - I put new batteries in him and he plays when connected to teddy NOTHING moved
The connector cord needs to be adjusted once hooked up to both to get a good connection. Once Set it sounds perfect.
