Stunning Large Antique German Parian DollBeautiful Upswept Molded Blond hairstyle with a sapphire blue, black and coral headband, gorgeous paint and facial coloring with detailed painted blue eyes, lids and brows, sweet upturned closed-mouth smile and pierced ears with Garnet-colored earrings. Head and 6 inch wide molded shoulder plate are in very good condition with the exception of a chip on her right lower earlobe.TLC: her right hand is missing its thumb and she is missing her entire... left arm. It also is signed underneath with "Nymphenburg "and crest. Also incised underneath is "660 5" . See Photos. Approx. 10"across x 11.5" Tall. Figurine is in good condition. There are a few items to mention...one is that the sword blade is broken off just above the scabbard and there is something with the paint on the right leg. I could only... see it through a loop. It doesn't appear to be crazing but it's has some imperfections that could be crazing or something happened to the paint when firing the piece. That is the only place I've seen this. The shelves measures 9 12 inches or 24.1 cm long at the back and are 8 inches or 20.3 cm at its widest. The wall shelves has a figure of a semi-nude cherubic figure holding a garland of flowers, and surrounded by applied porcelain flowers all around. They are further enhanced with colorful blue and pink scrolls and heavy applied gold highlights. The top of the shelf is hand enhan...ced with sprigs of flowers and lush green foliage. It is marked on the top of the shelf with blue crossed swords and dot mark. The condition of the pieces overall is excellent with minimal flakes to the applied porcelain flowers. Up for auction is a stunning limited edition porcelain sculpture of the finest quality. The lifelike detail of the castings are meticulously hand painted. The piece was designed by Von Gunther Granget for the German porcelain house Hutschenreuther. Titled "Disdain" it is number 76 of an edition of 500. Each piece is stamped on the bottom with title, edition number, company and some are hand signed or initialed by painter. This piece measures 9 34 tall with stand, figure is 8 14" tall x 11 12" wi...de x 9" deep. Weighs 5 pounds with the wood base. In perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This lovely old gal was found sitting in a chair in the bedroom of a house that was built in 1850. She had always lived in that house and was passed down through the generations of women until her last owner passed away. I have been asked to sell her by the person who inherited it.Her condition is as follows. Her plate has no cracks and her face is flawless. There are some chips in the black ribbon headpiece and the only other damage is on the bow at the blouse front where the two ends have brok...en off. The hair has wonderful deep modeling and the snood is in good condition. The color of the hair is unusual for this doll. There are some very subtle brush marks at the temples. Her cloth body is original and in good condition, although since the slip was stitched on the body I was not willing to remove it to take pictures. One of the leather arms has been taped and her hands have no fingers. Please review all the pictures and I encourage you to enlarge them to get an idea of the general condition.She wears her original pantaloons and stockings and has the most wonderful shoes that have never been taken off, amazingly...She came wearing her original cotton striped dress which is very faded on the front where the apron didn't protect it. The silk two piece dress has some age related damage. The jacket has a lot of mends and patches where the silk shattered and the skirt was made of antique black embroidered silk. All in all this doll is a beautiful time capsule which deserves consideration. Very rare hairstyle Parian doll - possibly by Kling. First with this style Ive had. The hairstyle is intricate and fabulous Her collar area is molded and detailed but is sadly damaged in some areas. The headshoulder palate measures about 6 high. It is good besides the damaged areas to the molding around the collar. The headshoulderplate is coming unattached from the body but could easily be better secured and sewn on if you choose.Her original dress covers up the damage to her Parian collar. Her... outfit is wonderful but is showing its age and has tears and holes. The fabric is fragile. Amazing brass buttons with stars close up the back although its missing a few. Very detailed. Underclothes are in better shape. Look at those striped stockings and gartersHer body is stable and isnt leaking. Some wear to the leather arms but they are stable. I believe she is stuffed with hair or something with a similar consistency. Not sawdust as whatever is in there is not leaking out. 2 different bisque babies in green ceramic bowls or tubs. The bowls are shiny like ceramic with a pattern to them. Approximately 3.5 inches. I see no chips or cracks. The babies being bisque need to be cleaned. Maybe with a soft damp cloth. I don't want to do it as I am not sure of the procedure. These were maybe to put on a piano, side table or babies room.
