In 1960 at just 12 years of age he began work as an apprentice at the Barovier and Toso glass factory where he remained until he joined his brothers, Loredano and Mirko, at their factory, Artvet, in 1963. Dino continued to work at Artvet until 1975 when he moved to Loredano's new studio as his assistant. There Dino collaborated with his brother for almost 20 years. In 1988, Dino Rosin was invited to Pilchuck Glass School in the state of Washington to teach solid freehand glass sculpture with Loredano and the American glass artist, William Morris. Then in 1992, Loredano died and Dino assumed the role of "maestro"and began to produce his brother's old designs and ultimately his own. His masterful use of "calcedonia" glass is unique and makes his pieces recognizable and highly collectible throughout the world. Dino Rosin uses the ancient technique of "calcedonia" coloration for his glass works of art, making each sculpture unique. Colors range from bright yellows to deep purples, varying on the metals used, temperature and duration of the glass in the furnace. 28" BISQUE PORCELAIN SCULPTURE "THE BATHER" BY ETIENNE-MAURICE FALCONET (1716-1791) This sculpture, called The Bather, by Etienne-Maurice Falconet (1716-1791) was created in 1757 and a marble copy is now displayed in the Louvre. This is a reduced size bisque porcelain reproduction that was created some time after 1758 when bisque porcelain were made in replica of the original at the Sevres Porcelain Factory. It's a sculpture depicting a modestly but loosely draped nude young woman dipping her f...oot into the water. This sculpture measures 28" in height. There is a chip to the base ring that barely shows from a viewing angle and other small fleabites around the outer rim of the base, not visible. There is a firing crack in the draping near the woman's right foot, pictured. The sculpture is signed near the bottom of the base in back, Sevres, 11-95 VP (conjoined). It is beautifully made, it's elegant lines and romantic form so pleasing to the eye and touch. While working on her Master of Arts degree, she started a glass program at Sierra Community College. In 1977 she opened her own glass blowing studio where she was joined shortly thereafter by her partner, Michael Hansen. She has been actively involved as a board member and member with the Glass Art Society, an internationally recognized glass art organization. She too attended the Pilchuck Glass School.

He was best known for his bronzes depicting birds, although his skill and versatility enabled him to produce quality horse sculptures (primarily racehorses), dog sculptures and hunting scenes.1 His bird sculptures were among the finest ever created in his time.2Over the course of his 40-year sculpting career Moigniez exhibited thirty works at the Salon between 185592. His first submission in a major art exhibition was his plaster, Pointer Stopping at a Pheasant, at the Exposition Universelle of 1855.12 Moigniez was known for the fine detail and chiseling of his sculptures. With this one, I probably shouldn't have given the crab such nimble legs because every time I start to boil water to make tea he scurries away and hides underneath the kitchen sink. He probably has an innate fear of boiling water. I've been to enough crab boils in my ...life to understand why, but I can see how that this will be a problematic design flaw for a crab teapot. VINTAGE (60s) ISAMU NOGUCHI AKARI floor lamp 10A. Appears to be complete (wexception of the rubber caps on the bottom of legs-see below), and is tested and working. Lamp is unused, (though set up for photos), in original packing. The Box and brochure identifies it as a model 10A. Also included is a 6 page fold out vintage Akari brochure, printed on both sides. The handmade shade, made of Washi Paper, is a very light sienna, with specks of darker material throughout. Bamboo frame, legs and hardwa...re are iron. All components are original to the item.The item is from the Estate of an Art Professor, b. 1927, who was an Akari dealer in the 1960s. It has been in climate controlled storage for many years. While this lamp appears to be in overall good condition, I do not know the effects of time or the Pennsylvania climate upon the materials used in its construction. The rubber caps at the bottom of the supports had deteriorated past use, and are not included, and should likely be replaced. The photos are an integral part of the listing. Please review them carefully and closely to determine condition, completeness and suitability before bidding. Flaws shown in photos 10-12. This This Harvey Littleton glass EYE sculpture was purchased from an estate in Madison, Wisconsin where Littleton taught for many years. The piece is signed and dated on the base. It measures 3 12" x 4 12" x 4 12". There are some shallow chips on the large clear glass bowls and some on the green one. There is also a chip on the base.
