Due to a non paying bidder this Figure is being auctioned again without reserve I believe this is known as Model 634. The Figure depicts a nude young lady and gentleman with the most fantastic colors throughout, much nicer than my photos show. The Figure is also fully signed by the artist as seen and guaranteed authentic. I am told the Estate special ordered this Figure from the Artist and paid over 10, 000 but it will sell now to the highest bidder without reserve. Due to the weight of this figure we will be using a fine art shipper, this could delay shipping for a week but is well worth it. We would also love to meet the buyer if they wish to travel to the Barrie or Toronto area for free pick up.br br Condition : Basically mint, no problems. Everything from this estate was very well cared for.br br Size : The figure is a very large and impressive size measuring approx 16-12 inches tall and 16 inches long by 10 inches wide and trust me it looks so much larger than this sounds. The Figure weighs around 75 or 80 pounds br br Artist Bio: Dino Rosin was born in Venice, Italy on May 30, 1948. In 1960 at just 12 years of age he began work as an apprentice at the Barovier and Toso glass factory where he remained until he joined his brothers, Loredano and Mirko, at their factory, Artvet, in 1963. Dino continued to work at Artvet until 1975 when he moved to Loredano's new studio as his assistant. There Dino collaborated with his brother for almost 20 years. In 1988, Dino Rosin was invited to Pilchuck Glass School in the state of Washington to teach solid freehand glass sculpture with Loredano and the American glass artist, William Morris. Then in 1992, Loredano died and Dino assumed the role of "maestro"and began to produce his brother's old designs and ultimately his own. His masterful use of "calcedonia" glass is unique and makes his pieces recognizable and highly collectible throughout the world. Dino Rosin uses the ancient technique of "calcedonia" coloration for his glass works of art, making each sculpture unique. Colors range from bright yellows to deep purples, varying on the metals used, temperature and duration of the glass in the furnace. Though this sculpture has been produced several times over the years no two are exactly alike with each having unique color combinations.br br The last photo shows some Paperweigths and Vases just for size comparison to show how huge this figure is in real life, those pieces are of course not included.br br PLEASE REVIEW PAYMENT AND RETURN POLICIES PRIOR TO BIDDING. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTIONS Mark your calendars this auctio

GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGraftonBlue Crab Teapot In almost every new design there are always small things that bother me a little about the design. I take note of the issues and try to improve on the design in the next model. With this one, I probably shouldn't have given the crab such nimble legs because every time I start to boil water to make tea he scurries away and hides underneath the kitchen sink. He probably has an innate fear of boiling water. I've been to enough crab boils in my ...life to understand why, but I can see how that this will be a problematic design flaw for a crab teapot. This piece is 10 inches wide and 7 inches tall, The legs are made of metal and are very sturdy. Thanks for looking, Mitchell. Facebook Grafton PotteryInfo graftonpottery.blogspot.com

Hand-made items are not factory items, even when new, so if you want perfect these items will not interest you. If I make a mis...take I will make it right. Thanks So Much BUY IT NOW Make an Offer Now All Serious Offers ConsideredThis Large Lino Tagliapietra Art Glass Platter is one of 2 pieces from this artist that I will be listing for sale with no reserve, and both were originally purchased by me 30 years ago directly from the artist (kind of). In 1989, Lino was in Chicago for a show he was having at Habatat Gallery in Chicago, and he also gave a lecture at the University of Illinois in Champaign and presented a series of demonstrations at their hot glass studios. These 2 pieces were made by him (with his assistants), and donated to the U of I Craft Guild and sold to benefit the glass program at a sale at the McKilnley foundation. That is where I purchased them from, after I watched both pieces being made a few days earlier. I had 35mm pics of both pieces being made, which is why I bought these 2, but after several moves, who know where they are now This is unused, only displayed, and there is a smooth flake on the bottom right above the "L" in the signature. This was from the making, and they "fire-polished" the foot with a blow torch when they were done making this, so it is smooth to the touch. On the bottom of the foot only, and totally as made. 14" w x 2" tall.
Offered today is a rare and Authentic George Ohr Vase. This vase is in the unglazed or Bisque form. For years many collectors thought the unglazed bisque examples were unfinished pieces. What really happened was that around 1905 when Ohr had reached the pinnacle of his career as a potter, he stopped glazing his pots. He left them unglazed, bisque finished. He said "God put no color in the soul, so I'm going to put no color in my pots." This vase is 5 inches tall and 2 34 inches at the vase. The...re is one small stress crack in a lower portion of the vase put there by time. I will let the photos speak for themselves. This is an Authentic Ohr Vase with no chips and only the one small stress crack. I purchased this beautiful vase in 1995 from an ArtAntique dealer in Biloxi, MS where George Ohr lived. The OhrO'keefe Museum is now located in Biloxi, MS. This vase is from Ohr's work later in life. He usually stamped "Biloxi, MS." in earlier works, but started adding his signature later in life. Returns accepted within 10 days of purchase. I will answer any questions you might have. Buy with confidence as I have a 100 feedback rating.

You are bidding on a rare mid-Century Modern rooster by highly laudedCalifornia ceramist James Lovera. DESCRIPTION: The body ofthis Eames Era rooster is heavy and granite-like with subtly distressed earthtoned surface markings that evoke those of fellow mid-Century ceramist ClaudeConover. The birds head is unglazedearthenware. This fabulous rooster measu...res approximately 10 long and stands9 tall- and is in excellent vintagecondition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has the makers incised signature on the bottom. Please note: There are some minorblack flecks on the roosters head. I dontknow if they are original to the piece or post-production. I have made no attempt to remove them as theyare unobtrusive and of no consequence. Please note: It appears as thougha plaster-like filling has been applied to the piece- as seen in the last photo. I dont know whether or not this was part ofthe production process (perhaps to balance the rooster). It has no effect on the display of the piece. This is a no reserve auction. ABOUT JAMES LOVERA Born in 1920, Lovera began his career in the mid-1940s while working at the CaliforniaPottery Company in what is now Fremont. He has always kept his forms simple, with the focus being on theglaze. His glazes are drawn from naturalphenomena: a sleek or craggy stone, a decomposed leaf, nubbly tree bark andshale outcrippings are all a part of his artistic lexicon. Lovera'sceramics were often shown in "Arts and Architecture" the ModernDesign and Modern Arctitcure magazine edited by Ray and Charles Eames and IsamuNoguchi, in the abstract ExpressionistModern heyday in the 1950's. Until his retirement in 1986 as ProfessorEmeritus, he taught ceramic art at California State University at SanJose. James Loveras gracefully formedand uniquely glazed vessels are in galleries and private collections worldwide, including those in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian and the MintMuseums. GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGraftonHurricane Teapot It's been exactly one year since my town got hit by Hurricane Michael, a Category 5 hurricane that devastated Panama City and the surrounding area. I road out the storm in my bathroom with my dog and a stray cat that I had only first met and started feeding about a month before. The cat had never been inside my house but I saw it that morning, brought it inside and shoved it into a large cage. When the storm was at its worst, trees were fall...ing, limbs were hitting my roof, the ceiling was leaking, windows were breaking and that cat was screaming at the top of his lungs. Luckily it only lasted a few hours. When I walked outside, my truck was totaled, almost every tree and most power poles were were on the ground. It has been long road to recovery, along the way I survived some shady con-men contractors and have had a few reoccurring nightmares but things are close to back to normal now, just a few small repairs left to make. Thanks for all of your support and business in the past year. This teapot, including the hurricane ravaged tree, is 16 inches tall. The tree is made of metal and very sturdy, Thanks for looking, Mitchell. Facebook Grafton PotteryInfo graftonpottery.blogspot.com
GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGraftonOwl and Mouse Teapot I have had a perfect ending to the past few days. As I settle down to relax after a busy day of work, I like to snuggle into my Lazyboy, prop my feet up, crack open a book, sip on a hot cup of decaf herbal tea, and munch on some popcorn. Then as I'm starting to dose off, I hear a hoot owl somewhere in the distance, letting me know that it's time to crawl into bed for a good sound sleep and some creative dreams that hint of good things to... come. This teapot is 10 inches tall, Thanks for looking, Mitchell Facebook Grafton PotteryInfo graftonpottery.blogspot.com
GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGraftonAllergy Cat Teapot Unfortunately about once a year I feel the need to fight off allergies. From home remedies to over the counter medication, you name it, I've tried it, Vitamin C, colloidal silver, neti pots, Claritin, the list goes on. Some of these work on occasion, then they don't work the next time I try them. But there is one thing that I always go back to, a good strong cup of herbal tea with some honey to sweeten. I don't care if it works or not, the...re is something soothing and peaceful that comes over me as I slowly sip it down. It always makes me feel better when I'm sick. GraftonPotteryCreatedByMitchellGraftonTurtle and Frog Teapot Everyone knows that turtles make the best tea in the world. They never go for that instant, super-fast, hurry-up, drive-through, late for work, microwaved, gulp it down, artificially flavored, massed produced, chemically enriched, fake friend type teas that so many people experience these days. They enjoy the type of tea that is unhurried, slow steeped, take your time, relax, refresh, unwind, naturally sweetened, contemplative, peacefu...l and perfectly made. It's the kind of tea that makes you want to put on some soft clothes and smooth jazz and curl up next to the fire with a good book. That's what turtles like to do. Frogs are just content with a nice hot bath. This piece is 7-12 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Thanks for looking, Mitchell. Facebook Grafton PotteryInfo graftonpottery.blogspot.com
